Choose the format by workflow

  • DXF: projected linework for AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BricsCAD and similar CAD tools.
  • GeoPackage: all populated vector layers in one GIS file with attributes and CRS.
  • Shapefile: one portable dataset per layer for established GIS handoffs.
  • KMZ: WGS84 layers for Google Earth review and lightweight sharing.

Keep the layers distinct

The project lot, surrounding cadastral parcels, easements and roads remain separate named layers. That makes it easier to style, query, freeze or hand off only what a consultant needs.

Combine them with contours, planning zones, hazards or imagery in the same export when broader context is useful.
