Screening checks
Heritage and bushfire overlays are checked on every listing and only speak up when something is flagged - otherwise they fold into a quiet “clear” chip. Distance to the nearest train or ferry stop appears when one is within walking distance.
You choose what shows
Toggle individual data points from the Scout popup - switch on planning zoning and nearby development applications, or hide anything you don’t need. Your badge, your call.

Install Scout and browse; the first device you use it on gets the full badge for 7 days with no card or sign-up. After that flood and elevation stay free on every listing and the other checks unlock with a $15 a month subscription.
South East Queensland: Brisbane, Gold Coast, Moreton Bay, Logan and Redland council areas. Listings outside the coverage area show no badge rather than a guess. Suburb-level flood and terrain statistics for every SEQ suburb are on our planning map area pages.
Yes. Mobile browsers do not support Chrome extensions, so the same subscription includes Scout for mobile - a web app you can add to your home screen. Type or paste any SEQ address and get the same flood, elevation, slope, zoning and screening result.
Flood risk comes from council flood overlays and historical flood mapping published by Brisbane City Council and the other SEQ councils, resolved to each individual lot. Elevation and slope come from Queensland Government LiDAR terrain data. Zoning, bushfire and heritage come from each council's planning scheme overlays. Price estimates come from PropTrack. Scout is free to install with a 7-day trial on every listing, no card required. After the trial, flood and elevation stay free and the rest of the badge is $15 a month including GST. Cancel any time from the account page and keep access until the end of the billing period.
No. Scout is a screening tool for while you are browsing, so you can rule out listings early and focus inspections on the ones worth it. Before you sign a contract, confirm flood risk with the council's FloodWise or flood-check report and get the usual building and pest inspections. For a written record of every overlay on a lot, a $9 planning report covers it.
