Define the site and request the catalogue
The sample is address-based and requests every dataset then offered for Queensland. The service clips the working extent around the resolved site.
Worked example · Queensland sample · generated 30 July 2026
This is a factual walkthrough of the current downloadable sample: what was requested, what the source mapping returned, how the files support early-stage work, and where survey, title and authority checks still take over.

Can a consultant assemble a practical early-stage base pack for CAD and GIS—covering mapped parcel, terrain, geology, soils, planning, hazards, heritage, easements and imagery—before commissioning survey and deeper specialist searches?
The delivered evidence
The sample uses GDA2020 / MGA Zone 56 (EPSG:7856). Compatible vector layers appear as DXF, Shapefile, GeoPackage and KMZ, while terrain and imagery use their appropriate native outputs.
These counts come directly from DATASETS.txt and datasets.json in the sample—not from illustrative marketing copy.
| Dataset result | Verified sample evidence | What it supports |
|---|---|---|
| Property and access context | Included 71 cadastral features, 7 road features and 2 mapped easement features | Desktop base mapping, nearby-lot context and early review of mapped access constraints. |
| Terrain | Included 14 contour features, 500 elevation points, a GeoTIFF DEM and a 2,999-face DXF TIN | Early terrain review, CAD/GIS setup and concept-level surface context. |
| Ground context | Included 1 geology feature and 1 soil feature | Regional mapped geology and soil context for desktop screening. |
| Planning and heritage | Included 7 planning-zone features and 6 heritage-overlay features | Locating mapped planning and heritage context inside the working extent. |
| Aerial imagery | Included Georeferenced JPG, world file, CRS metadata and imagery KMZ | Visual site orientation behind vector layers in CAD, GIS and Google Earth workflows. |
| Five assessed layers | No mapped features in extent Acid sulphate soils, watercourses, flood, bushfire and geohazard | Records that the available mapping was queried and returned no features for this export extent. |

DXF, Shapefile, GeoPackage and KMZ were selected with GDA2020 / MGA Zone 56. Dataset-specific terrain and imagery outputs were added automatically where applicable.
Use DXF and the TIN for CAD-oriented setup, GeoPackage or Shapefile for GIS analysis, KMZ for Google Earth review, and the GeoTIFF for raster terrain work.
The manifest distinguishes included data, assessed layers with no mapped features, coverage gaps, deliberate exclusions and temporary upstream failures.
